We hope that parents will work closely with us as partners in their child's learning. Many of our curriculum projects will involve parents working with children on “Home Learning Tasks” and we also support all the regular learning that children will be encouraged to do at home. We share with parents school assessment processes at parent evening and through the annual report events and invite parents in to share and contribute to Learning Journals in the Early Years . We also welcome parents in to help in school in any way. Our curriculum success is entirely dependent on support we receive from parents and the larger community.
We also try to ensure that our communication keeps the whole community up to date with the events and news from the school. We use the website, texting, Twitter and an entertaining weekly newsletter to achieve this. The most recent examples of the newsletter are always posted on this website in the “Letters and Newsletters” tab.
We hold termly "Parent Forum" meetings to address issues and areas of development with parents from all age groups. These groups really help to keep the school informed and moving forward, ensuring that we continue to provide a good service to all of our families. The minutes of the most recent meetings are posted on this page.
We also run an annual parent survey in the Spring of each year. We are constantly delighted with the results and the lovely comments parents make about us, so please look at our latest survey available below.
