Graduate Scheme

Here at Eden Park we are passionate about creating ambitious and determined, life-long learners. We have worked hard at Eden Park to design learning opportunities that meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.  But why stop there?

Our Graduate Scheme has been designed to complement our carefully designed curriculum, with the aim to continue to further develop children’s knowledge of various subject areas, through the research of inspirational people, who have had a huge impact on our world today.

Our voluntary scheme will offer the chance for children, in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, to ‘graduate’ in a subject area. In order to do so pupils must show they have developed their knowledge in a specific subject area and demonstrated a sound understanding of an inspirational figure and how they have impacted the world today. All work and study towards the Graduate Scheme can take place within school, during lunchtimes, as well as at home. Children will be asked to present their work to a member of staff and are encouraged to be as creative as possible.

Upon ‘graduating’ in a subject area, the children will be awarded with a certificate and a badge, which they will be able to display proudly on their school uniform. Pupils will be hugely praised for their efforts and dedication to their learning and will act as role models to younger students.

If you would like more information on which subject areas you are able to graduate in and which key figures have been selected, please follow the links below or speak with your child’s class teacher.
