Personal Development

“I am very pleased with how he has come on. He absolutely loves school. I am glad we chose Eden Park.” (Parent Survey, 2020)

“My child was at another school but since going to Eden Park she has come on in leaps and bounds.” (Parent Survey, 2020)

We believe that our broad curriculum, with its emphasis on the essentials of learning as well as the wide range of music, arts, community events and PE all work together to develop the children at Eden Park extremely well. This allows the school to actively promote the personal development of pupils.

In addition, we believe that our five core values of Creativity, Independence, Wellbeing, Teamwork and Respect support the children with their personal development and these form the cornerstones of every one of our Learning Enquiries. They are planned for and specifically taught rather than just experienced. They are integral to our learning and are praised and recognised.  They are used to help pupils’ build resilience, confidence and independence.

The school takes full account of children’s mental health and sense of well-being, and actively celebrates the success of the children both in and out of school through assemblies, weekly newsletters and the Sir Tom Moore award for exceptional community spirit.

The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (SMSC) of our children is essential to the way we work. These areas are partnered with British values to deliver a highly effective curriculum model.

Our Relationships and Health education programme is a fully structure approach, taking children through a cyclical approach, considering areas within Health Education and also Relationships Education. This allows is to cover in depth areas such as physical health, internet safety, caring friendships and staying safe.

“I am really proud of the progress he’s made and the positive mindset given during difficult circumstances.” (SCHOOL REPORT Parent FEEDBACK, 2022)
