WELCOME

Eden Park’s Early Years Foundation Stage is made up of two reception classes and two nurseries. The Reception classes are next door to Frogs Nursery, which allows teachers and children to become familiar with one another and develop good relationships to enable a smooth transition into Reception. Teachers and Nursery Managers work closely together to ensure consistency of practice, as well as enabling environments for children to thrive in.

Step inside our provision

Our continuous provision is often linked to a story or our current ‘learning experience’. With a vocabulary rich provision in mind, our ever-changing provision always has the children’s interests at heart with an aim to offer opportunities to develop children’s next steps in as many ways as possible.

Reading and Writing

Children in Reception learn to read and write through our Read, Write, Inc. programme, as well as through adult-led activities, which children can access throughout their continuous provision. We have seen brilliant results using Read Write Inc. and are very proud to be following the scheme.

MATHS

Children are taught daily maths adult-led sessions, which children are encouraged to explore in their own play. At Eden Park, we deliver maths using a ‘mastery’ approach. More information can be found out below, in our guide for parents.
