Consistent strategies are used across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to promote pupil participation, stregthen understanding, promote inclusion and assist in retaining knowledge.
CALM AND PURPOSEFUL CLASSROOMS
We use various strategies to create calm, respectful and purposeful learning spaces. Silence is Golden is an example of a phrase that we use often. We know that, in some cases, we learn best when the environment is free from distraction and noise. We do not expect children in the Eden Park family to sit in silence as we know that learning often progresses through asking questions and gaining clarity. However, we do expect our classrooms to be spaces where children can thrive, explore their thinking and feel safe. Therefore, sometimes 'Silence is Golden!'
