Saving The World!
KS1 pupils enjoy a visit to Living Coasts as part of their learning experience - 'Saving the World.
The children were able to get up close and personal to the Macaroni and African penguins and learnt how to tell them apart before moving on to see the fur seals being fed. After the children were all fed and watered, they took part in an interactive work shop, learning how penguins keep warm in arctic conditions and how to keep their eggs warm. They even had a go at carrying eggs on their feet. Not easy! A fantastic time was had by all and it was all great inspiration for the stories they will be writing and the upcoming show 'Eddie the Penguin Saves the World.'
